Cocktails Above the Crossroads of the World, Bar 54 rises above all other New York cocktail lounges. Literally.

Just a few footsteps off Broadway, the 487-room Hyatt Times Square New York rises high above 45th Ave West.  As one of the most culturally vibrant and active neighbourhoods in New York City, it is only fitting that the Hyatt presents an equally vibrant cocktail experience.  The Bar 54, residing on the 54th floor of the towering Hyatt hotel, is a lively cocktail club offering taste bud challenging drink specials and awe inspiring panoramic views.

Headed by world renowned mixologist Julie Reiner, Bar 54 presents an evolving seasonal menu of cocktails and fine meals.  Reiner, famous for her work in New York’s finest establishments such as Flatiron Lounge, Clover Club, and Pegu Club, leads a team of mixologists and cocktail designers from her consulting firm, Mixtress Consulting.  The seasoned team has crafted an innovative menu of complex flavours and combinations for the Manhattan rooftop bar.

Opened in February 2014, Bar 54 was carefully designed by SPAN Architecture.  The lounge space tastefully blends city and sky, offering a quiet place for guests to relax 54 storeys above the chaos and excitement of Times Square down below.  Seamless glass opens to open air, where the bright lights of Broadway meld with the flicker of rooftop fireplaces.  Within Bar 54, guests savour drinks beneath a laser cut metal ceiling resembling a canopy of ash and poplar leaves.  The bar itself is surrounded by which, warm wood, blending the trendy mood and lighting with natural materials.

Famed mixologist Julie Reiner continually crafts new cocktail experiences to be shared at the Hyatt Times Square New York’s Bar 54.  Thought seasonal, many drinks use locally produced ingredients, such as Dorothy Parker American Gin, produced by the New York Distilling Company in Brooklyn.

Some of the seasonal cocktails guaranteed to entice the taste buds include Santana’s Sour, Tree House and the Miracle of 45th Street.  Santana’s Sour blends a fire-y mix of jalapenos, fresh cilantro, and warming tequila.  The Miracle of 45th Street is a champagne cocktail infused with grapefruit, pisco, and Bar 54’s house-brewed lavender syrup.
