An Eclectic Lobby Bar at London EDITION Where Design and Spirits Mingle

Showcasing an exceptional level of quality and class is the London EDITION hotel, located in Fitzrovia.  Housed in a building that once hosted King Edward VII, the London EDITION carries forth a storied tradition.  Offering a delicate balance of historical charm and modern design, the hotel presents a variety of surprising spaces.  Chief among these is the Lobby Bar, just a few steps off of Berners Street. 

The Lobby Bar presents an eclectic collection of design elements, including unique works of art, traditional architecture, and iconic British design.  Donald Judd inspired green velvet sofas invite guests to settle in for a relaxing evening.  24 karat gold surrealist floor lamps flirt with strong black metal furnishings and chandeliers.  The Hendrik Kerstens photograph, “Toy Rider” hangs above the 24 karat gold fireplace, looking out over the warm and traditional room.  Visitors are often found playing a game of 9-ball on the antique billiard table, or tapping away at their laptops around the large black walnut table.

At the heart of the space is a black steel bar, behind which a skilled team of mixologists craft custom drinks every night.  Guests are encouraged to grab a seat near the action under the stunning backlit antique mirror silver leaf arches, or savour a delightful drink in the comfort of a leather wingback chair.

The Lobby Bar of the London EDITION prides itself on its varied and unique menu of speciality cocktails, conceived by Davide Segat.  For a refreshing taste of the colonial Caribbean, try the Clearer Colada, a unique beverage made from a combination of two house specialties, Coconut Havana 3 Year Old and Pineapple Cordial.  Coconut Havana 3 Year Old is crafted from coconut fat and Havana 3 Year Old rum, left to infuse and freeze. Pineapple Cordial combines cubed pineapple, sugar, water, malic acid, and citric acid, all placed in a vac pac, warmed, and strained to produce a clear cordial.
